Frequently Asked Questions

What types of funds does GLFSI serve?
We serve sponsors of real estate investment programs (REITs and private placements), oil and gas limited partnerships, public commodity pools, private equity funds, and other retail alternative investment programs sold through the independent broker-dealer and RIA channels.
Do you work with first-time fund sponsors?
Yes. We work with sponsors launching their first program as well as those moving from in-house operations or switching from another administrator. We walk through the full scope together and build your program into eSuperior from the ground up.
How does eSuperior differ from other fund admin platforms?
Most fund administrators run on licensed third-party software. eSuperior is built and owned by GLFSI — the same team that administers your fund also built and operates the platform. That means customizations happen on our timeline, not a vendor's roadmap, and there is no third-party platform risk in your service chain.
What does DTCC AIP integration mean for my fund?
DTCC AIP (Alternative Investment Products) is the industry standard data transmission network connecting fund administrators to custodians and clearing firms. Our direct AIP integration means your investor data flows automatically to custodians like Schwab, Fidelity, and others — no manual data entry or file uploads required.
Are you able to handle both electronic and paper subscriptions?
Yes. We process both electronic subscription packages and physical hard-copy documents, including on-site payment processing for checks. Both flows are managed through the same eSuperior system of record.
What is your onboarding process for a new fund?
We start with a scoping call to understand your fund structure, investor type, distribution channel, and service needs. We then configure eSuperior for your program, establish integrations, and run parallel testing before your first subscription is processed. The timeline depends on complexity but is typically 4–8 weeks.
